520 _aThe main activities carried out by the Institute in Guyana during 2017 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues such as marketing, beekeeping, family farming, governance, food safety and sanitation, through the use of the Codex Alimentarius , leadership, management of water resources, bioinputs and bioenergy. Likewise, work was done on the use of greenhouses, on the use of giant king fat as fodder, on cassava production, on regional trade, and on the certification of production processes. Finally, support was given to small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, to the inclusion of women in agriculture and to combat drug theft.
520 _aSe identifican las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en Guyana durante el 2017, con respecto a las necesidades e interés del país, fortaleciendo en temas como marketing, apicultura, agricultura familiar, gobernanza, inocuidad y sanidad alimentaria, por medio del uso del Codex Alimentarius, liderazgo, gestión del recurso hídrico, bioinsumos y bioenergía. Asimismo, se trabajó en el empleo de invernaderos, en el uso del giant king grasa como forraje, en la producción de yuca, en el comercio intrarregional y en la certificación de los procesos de producción. Finalmente, se apoyo a los pequeños y medianos empresarios, a la inclusión de las mujeres en la agricultura y a combatir el hurto de medicamentos.
