520			_aThe next Conference of Ministers of Agriculture of the Americas, due to take place 29-31 October 2019 at the Headquarters of the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), in San Jose, Costa Rica, will bring together the ministers and secretaries of agriculture of 34 countries in the Americas. Before the biennial meeting of the Inter-American Board of Agriculture (IABA), IICA’s highest governing body, the Conference of Ministers will be holding a specialized technical discussion on the most important, crucial issues facing the agriculture sector, including matters related to productivity, sustainability, natural resources and environment, the incorporation of new technologies, and safety and health as key factors in international trade.
