Over a 15 year period 81 projects have been supported, involving 400 teams and representing a combined EC financial contribution of about 70 million euros. Projects have been grouped for convenience into eight thematically based research areas, each with an introduction, providing an overview of the results, trends and issues, written by a scientist prominent in the field. The research areas which correspond to chapters in the report are: (1) plants, (2) plant microbes, (3) biocontrol, (4) food, (5) bioremediation, (6) tools, (7) fish, and (8) vaccines. A list of participants is supplied.
