The activities carried out by the Belize Delegation of 2022 are identified, focus to needs and interests of the country such as; launched and operationalized a microfinance mechanism/scheme; transforming the classroom-based training program on the use and application of the CCORAL tool into an online course; supported the implementation of various activities in Belize within the framework of the CARICOM Green Climate Fund (GCF); legal recommendations were provided on how to strengthen Belize’s aquatic health regulations in order to meet international standards; implemented a project to promote the consumption of locally produced fruits and vegetables and healthy lifestyles, which was funded by the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives; and IICA provided the MoAFSE with technical and financial support to initiate germplasm collection for non-traditional fruit trees.

Se identifican las actividades que realizó la Delegación de Belice del 2022, enfocadas a necesidades e intereses del país tales como; puso en marcha y puso en marcha un mecanismo/esquema de microfinanciación; transformar el programa de capacitación presencial sobre el uso y aplicación de la herramienta CCORAL en un curso en línea; apoyó la implementación de varias actividades en Belice en el marco del Fondo Verde para el Clima de CARICOM (GCF); se proporcionaron recomendaciones legales sobre cómo fortalecer las regulaciones de salud acuática de Belice para cumplir con los estándares internacionales; implementó un proyecto para promover el consumo de frutas y verduras de producción local y estilos de vida saludables, que fue financiado por el Fondo Canadiense para
Iniciativas Locales; y el IICA brindó apoyo técnico y financiero al MoAFSE para iniciar la recolección de germoplasma de frutales no tradicionales.
