This documents contains highlights of the Inter American rural youth program. The purpose of the PIJR is to provide leadership to encourage the expansion and development of national program institutions of Latin America and the Caribbean to provide rural youth people with non formal (out-of-school) educational opportunities ti achieve their full potential as individuals in society and to improve the quality of life in their communities and countries, and to increase the international educational content of 4-H in the EUA so these young people may become active and informed participants in development.
