The main activities carried out by the Institute in Saint Lucia during 2019 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues of pest control, citrus disease (Huanglongbing), apiculture, resilience to change climate and agrotourism. Likewise, work was done on the development of the honey sector, on water storage, sanitation and food safety, the safe use of agrochemicals and the cocoa sector. Finally, it contributed to the development of agricultural trade and the use of electronic systems for phytosanitary certifications.

Se identifican las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en Santa Lucia durante el 2019, con respecto a las necesidades e interés del país, fortaleciendo en temas de control de plagas, ante la enfermedad de los cítricos (Huanglongbing), apicultura, resiliencia ante el cambio climático y agroturismo. Asimismo, se trabajo en el desarrollo del Sector de la miel, en almacenamiento de agua, sanidad e inocuidad de alimentos, uso seguro de agroquímicos y el Sector del cacao. Finalmente, se contribuyo en el desarrollo del comercio agrícola y en uso de sistemas electrónicos, para las certificaciones fitosanitarias.
