Se identifican las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en Perú durante el 2019, con respecto a las necesidades e interés del país, contribuyendo en temas de sanidad agropecuaria, inocuidad alimentaria, agricultura familiar, atención al cambio climático, el desarrollo tecnológico y la innovación y la bioeconomía en el sector público y privado. Asimismo, se impulso la ganadería sostenible, los negocios verdes, el uso de energías renovables y la competitividad e internacionalización de los productores agrarios. Finalmente, se fortalecieron las capacidades de actores públicos y privados claves para la gestión de políticas y arreglos institucionales de apoyo al desarrollo de la cadena agroproductiva del cacao y chocolate.

The main activities carried out by the Institute in Peru during 2019 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, contributing to issues of agricultural health, food safety, family farming, attention to climate change, technological development and innovation and the bioeconomy in the public and private sector. Likewise, sustainable livestock, green businesses, the use of renewable energies and the competitiveness and internationalization of agricultural producers were promoted. Finally, the capacities of public and private actors for the management of policies and institutional arrangements to support the development of the cocoa and chocolate agro-productive chain were strengthened.
