The main activities carried out by the Institute in Dominica during 2019 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues of quality, health and food safety, especially in the area of exports. Likewise, it collaborated in supporting farmers to achieve certification of their farms, in the correct handling of pesticides; as well as to strengthen the capacities of technicians in the planning and monitoring of work programs. Finally, work was done on apiculture, pest control and resilience to climate change, through the Agricultural Resilience Center and the use of climate-smart technologies.

Se identifican las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en Dominica durante el 2019, con respecto a las necesidades e interés del país, fortaleciendo en temas de calidad, sanidad e inocuidad de los alimentos, sobretodo en el tema de exportaciones. Asimismo, se colaboro en el apoyo a finqueros a lograr la certificación de sus fincas, en el correcto manejo de los plaguicidas; así como a fortalecer las capacidades de técnicos en la planificación y seguimiento de programas de trabajo. Finalmente, se trabajo en apicultura, en el control de plagas y en la resiliencia ante el cambio climático, por medio del Centro de Resiliencia agrícola y de el empleo de tecnologías climáticamente inteligentes.
