The endomycorrhizal fungi were Glomus occultum, Entrophospora colombiana and Gigaspora margarita. The compost utilized as an organic amendment increased the water content and significantly improved plant growth. The symbiosis encourage tolerance to R. similis through the compensation for damage caused by nematode, increase plant nutrition absorption and competition endomycorrhizal fungi-nematode for space and nutrient at the radical cortex level. The endomycorrhizae provoked significant modification in cellular morphology. The arbuscles developed densely with within corticall cells. R. similis provoked the invagination of the cytoplasm and nuclear growth.
