Aquí se describen las características más sobresalientes del sistema de cultivo maíz/maicillo practicado por los agricultores de Palo Pintado y La Paz en Comayagua, Honduras. En la descripción del sistema de cultivo y la opción tecnológica que se propone para mejorar sus niveles de producción y rendimiento, se hace énfasis en dos modificaciones de siembra utilizadas en el área y que representan elementos importantes en la tecnología de los dos cultivos asociados: siembra del maíz y maicillo en golpe alterno y la siembra del maicillo al aporque del maíz. El propósito es facilitar la consulta rápida de los aspectos principales relacionados con la opción tecnológica propuesta al sistema tradicional de cultivo.<br/> |
