El Programa Pro-Huerta implementado en Haití, con base en la experiencia de más de 15 años en <br/>Argentina, ha permitido el desarrollo de cursos de capacitación en producción de huertas orgánicas a nivel familiar, escolar, comunitario e institucional, la construcción de huertas demostrativas, la entrega de semillas y la asistencia técnica permanente. Su objetivo principal ha sido fomentar la producción <br/>comunitaria de alimentos frescos para la población haitiana, mediante la coordinación entre el Ministerio de <br/>Agricultura de Haití, sus direcciones departamentales y organizaciones de las comunidades como escuelas, <br/>orfanatos, centros de formación y capacitación, asociaciones de campesinos, asociaciones de mujeres, <br/>centros profesionales, parroquias y congregaciones de diversas denominaciones religiosas, junto a líderes <br/>comunales. Sus resultados en el ámbito local sorprenden a sus promotores. Esta exitosa experiencia espera ser ampliada para beneficio de más familias en Haití, además de que representa un significativo avance en el cumplimiento de los compromisos de la cooperación internacional. |

The Fresh Food Self-sufficiency program in Haiti, based on the experience of more than 15 years in<br/>Argentina has allowed the development of training courses in the production of organic gardens at the family, school, community and institutional levels, the construction of demonstration gardens, the delivery of seeds and permanent technical assistance. Its main objective has been to promote the production<br/>community of fresh food for the Haitian population, through coordination between the Ministry of<br/>Agriculture of Haiti, its departmental directorates and community organizations such as schools,<br/>orphanages, education and training centers, farmers' associations, women's associations,<br/>professional centers, parishes and congregations of various religious denominations, together with leaders<br/>communal. Its results at the local level surprise its promoters. This successful experience hopes to be expanded for the benefit of more families in Haiti, in addition to representing a significant advance in the fulfillment of international cooperation commitments. |
