El objetivo del presente documento es mostrar la forma en que el IICA, a través de los ejes estratégicos de la innovación y la gestión del agua, ha venido contribuyendo a impulsar la productividad y la rentabilidad sostenible en la agricultura y el desarrollo en los territorios rurales de sus países miembros.<br/>El IICA ha brindado sus aportes de dos maneras. En primer lugar, ha apoyado diversas experiencias en innovaciones de orden tecnológico y de gestión de la agricultura bajo riego que se están dando en los países, las cuales se recogen en este documento. En segundo lugar, el Instituto<br/>ha colaborado con ellos mediante el uso, en varias iniciativas nacionales<br/>y regionales, de diversos instrumentos para la cooperación de los que dispone, lo que también se reseña en este documento.<br/>Además, en la sección final se presenta la propuesta de una agenda hemisférica de cooperación en GIRH en la agricultura, con lo cual el Instituto da cumplimiento al mandato de los ministros de Agricultura de las Américas. |

The objective of this document is to show how IICA, through the strategic axes of innovation and water management, has been contributing to promoting productivity and sustainable profitability in agriculture and development in rural areas. of its member countries.<br/>IICA has provided its contributions in two ways. In the first place, it has supported various experiences in innovations of a technological nature and management of irrigated agriculture that are taking place in the countries, which are included in this document. Second, the Institute<br/>has collaborated with them through the use, in several national initiatives<br/>and regional, of various instruments for cooperation at its disposal, which is also outlined in this document.<br/>In addition, the final section presents the proposal for a hemispheric agenda for cooperation in IWRM in agriculture, with which the Institute fulfills the mandate of the Ministers of Agriculture of the Americas. |
