Abordar las desigualdades de género y reducir las brechas que enfrentan las mujeres rurales por medio de políticas, programas y acciones afirmativas que incorporen el enfoque de género, requiere conocer la situación que ellas viven cotidianamente como productoras, reproductoras e integrantes de organizaciones.<br/>Las mujeres se caracterizan por una diversidad tal que impide hablar de una sola categoría de “mujer rural”. Las mujeres rurales son indígenas, afrodescendientes, quilombolas, campesinas, pescadoras, artesanas, migrantes, jóvenes, adultas; se distinguen también por su ubicación geográfica, condición socioeconómica, nivel educativo, lengua, discapacidad, identidad de género o condición reproductiva. |
