Contiene una recopilación de los aspectos más relevantes del Primer Seminario-Taller sobre Desarrollo Rural en Honduras, celebrado del 29 de agosto al 1 de setiembre de 1988 en Tegucigalpa. El propósito de dicho evento fue obtener información necesaria para un Proyecto de Formulación de Políticas de Desarrollo Rural en Honduras, que incluyera tópicos sobre conceptualización, ejecución y evaluación tomando como base la experiencia hondureña en desarrollo rural. Los objetivos de este seminario fueron: 1) conocer, interpretar y cuestionar la experiencia del sector público hondureño en desarrollo rural, específicamente lo relacionado con los conceptos de desarrollo y los procesos de ejecución y evaluación de los proyectos; 2) promover el intercambio de experiencias en desarrollo rural entre instituciones, organizaciones, proyectos y personas que intervienen en ese esfuerzo; 3) identificar formas y mecanismos para ampliar la participación de los diferentes sectores sociales en el proceso de formulación de una política de desarrollo rural.
