Con el fin de conocer los impactos delCOVID-19 en la seguridad alimentaria y el empoderamiento de las mujeres en la Región del Trifinio,Guatemala, se emplearon métodos mixtos de investigación con un enfoque feminista y de acción participativa, para estimar estadísticamente,a través de la encuesta RHoMIS,dos indicadores de seguridad alimentaria y uno de empoderamiento de las mujeres: a) Diversidad dietética,b) Escala de acceso a la inseguridad alimentaria en el hogaryc) Participación de la mujeren la toma de decisión. Se encuentra que el indicador de Diversidad dietética está entre los niveles bajo y medio, mientras que el de la Escala de acceso a la inseguridad alimentaria a unnivelbajo, o sea, que hay pocas experiencias de inseguridad alimentaria en los hogares. Por su parte, el indicadorde Participación de la mujer en latoma de decisión expresa una pequeña desigualdad en la que,aparentemente,son mujeres quienes lideranlas decisionessobre el uso de beneficios en el hogar y la finca. |
