La Región Noreste se encuentra afectada por la presencia de garrapata, causante de pérdidas de peso, mortalidad y desvalorización de loe cueros. Para el total de 2.550.799 bovinos de la Región. Las pérdidas anuales ascienden a $ 78 millones. En predios de productores pequeños y medianos, la disponibilidad de bañaderos, irrescindibles para la lucha contra el ectoparásito es insuficiente. La situación es especialmente grave en los predios menores de 100 hectáreas, ubicados generalmente en las cercanías de centros insuficiente. poblados, donde se dispone promedialmente de un bañadero cada 66 predios, no existiendo además organización para su uso asociativo. Esto hace que las campañas de saneamiento organizadas por el MAP no logren el éxito esperado. |
