El presente trabajo de investigación se realizó con el objetivo de identificar parásitos intestinales en lagartijas de la especie Liolaemus ornatus, presente en la Comunidad Huaraco, Provincia Aroma, Departamento de La Paz y clasificados según: categoría de madurez sexual y sexo. Se utilizaron métodos de diafanización para el aclaramiento de los endoparásitos para determinar su identificación y caracterización, se colectaron un total de 6.127 helmintos durante el análisis de laboratorio, 14 hospederos no presentaron helmintos, 30 hospederos presentaron infestación con dos especies de helmintos. Se identificaron 2 especies de Nematodos: Physaloptera lutzi (85.33%) y Parapharyngodon spp. (10%). La prevalencia general de parásitos gastrointestinales fue de 95.33%. Se evaluó la abundancia media que fue mayor en lagartijas hembra con 12 nematodos por hospederos examinados, mientras que la intensidad media alcanzó los 22 nematodos por hospedero infestado, también en lagartijas hembra. Se observaron diferencias significativas (P ≤0.05), en relación a las variables: peso y madurez sexual con la presencia de endoparásitos. Sin embargo no se halló diferencia significativa en la variable asociada al sexo (P0≤.05). No se identificaron parásitos de importancia zoonótica. por lo tanto, este estudio se constituye en el primer registro de endoparásitos en lagartijas para el Altiplano de Bolivia y contribuye al incremento del conocimiento sobre la diversidad parasitaria referente en nuestro territorio. |
