Se colectó información primaria por medio de entrevistas a familias seleccionadas completamente al azar, además se entrevistaron representantes de las instituciones con presencia en la cuenca y líderes comunitarios. La información secundaria se obtubo de fotografías aéreas, mapas cartográficos y documentos pertinentes. El análisis de la información se realizó por medio de técnicas multivariadas y procesos de Markov, utilizando SAS, ArcView, r2v y PciWork y otros. Los resultados obtenidos abordan el conocimiento de la población acerca de factores asociados al riesgo y manejo racional de bosques; los índices de opinión favorables a la conservación; la regresion logística de los factores que coadyuvan de forma significativa al cambio, y finalmente, definición de las comunidades con bajos índices de involucramiento en actividades de conservación. Comos recomendaciones aborda el plan de acción y su énfasis en el fortalecimiento del conocimiento sobre los factores asociados a la vulnerabilidad y estrategias preventivas. Entre las acciones propuestas incluye la recuperación de áreas degradadas, reforestación en la parte alta y media de la cuenca, implementación de normas, legalización de la tierra. Y finalmente, una reorganización administrativa orientada a atender las demandas en materia de prevención de desastres, es necesaria a nivel institucional, además de establecer vínculos que garantizen la operativización de programas específicos. |

Primary information was collected through interviews with completely randomly selected families, in addition, representatives of the institutions with a presence in the basin and community leaders were interviewed. Secondary information was obtained from aerial photographs, cartographic maps and relevant documents. The information analysis was performed through multivariate techniques and Markov processes, using SAS, ArcView, r2v and PciWork and others. The results obtained address the knowledge of the population about factors associated with risk and rational management of forests; opinion indices favorable to conservation; the logistic regression of the factors that significantly contribute to the change, and finally, the definition of the communities with low rates of involvement in conservation activities. As recommendations, it addresses the action plan and its emphasis on strengthening knowledge about the factors associated with vulnerability and preventive strategies. Among the proposed actions include the recovery of degraded areas, reforestation in the upper and middle part of the basin, implementation of regulations, legalization of the land. And finally, an administrative reorganization aimed at meeting the demands in disaster prevention is necessary at the institutional level, in addition to establishing links that guarantee the operationalization of specific programs. |
