Este trabajo recomienda estrategias para mejorar la gestión del recurso hídrico para consumo humano dentro de la microcuenca del río Purires, un sector de 76,23 hectáreas ubicadas en la provincia de Cartago, Costa Rica. Como objeto de estudio se utilizó a las ASADAS, entes locales de distribución de agua para consumo humano. Lo anterior por ser el actor más importante, entre muchos otros, dentro de cada comunidad en lo que respecta a la gestión del recurso hídrico. Los resultados permitieron esgrimir un marco de estrategias para una mejora en la gestión del recurso hídrico. Esta fue hecha para las diversas ASADAS dentro de la microcuenca, y toca diferentes aspectos donde cada una deberá priorizar sus actividades dependiendo del estado de avance en el cual estén al momento de aplicarla. |

This study recommends strategies to improve the water resource management for domestic use in the Purires watershed, a 76, 23 hectare zone located inside the Cartago province, Costa Rica. The subjects of study were the ASADAS, local institutions in charge of the domestic water distribution. They are the most important actors inside of each community regarding the water resource management. The results made possible the elaboration of strategies for the improvement of the water resource management. They were made to be used by the different ASADAS within the watershed, and reaches different aspects were each one has to prioritize its activities, depending on the that they have in the moment of applying them |
