Este estudio describe el uso de 15 alcantarillas ubicadas debajo de la Carretera Interamericana (ACG) como pasos no específicos de vertebrados terrestres (pasos de fauna), a través de la ocurrencia de individuos, composición de especies y de rasgos asociados a los pasos de fauna (estructura), paisaje circundante y variables de perturbación humana. Los modelos mostraron que la cobertura vegetal y la precipitación fueron las variables con influencia para todas las especies con excepción del tepezcuintle, en donde la temperatura y la cobertura definieron el modelo de ocupación. El modelo de ocupación de la guatusa no se definió por ninguna covariable. Se realizó un modelo de conectividad funcional para la guatusa y ocelote, con lo cual se ubicó los tramos de la carretera en donde se debe tomar atención dentro del manejo del área protegida. Los modelos fueron elaborados de acuerdo a la teoría de circuitos propuesta por Mcrae y Shah (2008). |

The study explains the use of 15 culverts located under the Interamerican Highway (ACG) as no specific underpasses for terrestrial vertebrates (wildlife crossings), through the occurrence of individuals, species composition and features associated with wildlife crossings (infrastructure), landscape variables and human disturbance variables. The models described the occupancy patterns, extinction and colonization of the passages in relation to fluctuating variables over time. The models showed that the cover and rainfall were influential variables for all species except for the tepezcuintle, where the temperature and cover were more important. The pattern of occupation of the agouti was not defined by any covariate. A model of functional connectivity for the agouti and ocelot was obtained according to circuit theory proposed by Mcrae and Shah (2008). The models showed areas in which care must be taken within the protected area management. |
