The study synthesizes the collected data into a surprisingly consistent, collective opinion supporting an IICA repositioning. Enriched by diverse perspectives, it presents a Mexican view of the Institute's importance and its potential role in a Mexico undergoing a political and economic opening. The topic was explored following a uniform outline. Respondents first gave their views regarding Mexico's current policy-making environment to provide context to assess IICA's activity. Next, they described their perceptions of the Institute's image and key attributes. Finally they addressed the issue of expectations, including a vision of IICA's potential role in the next decade. The report is laid out in three sections, each one repeating the themes in ever-greater depth. Thus the Executive Summary is an overview of the conclusions and implications; the Research Highlights presents the salient points supporting the conclusions; the Detailed Findings presents extensive verbatims, enhancing the collective opinion with the authentic texture of individual commentary. |

El estudio sintetiza los datos recolectados en una opinión colectiva sorprendentemente consistente que apoya un reposicionamiento del IICA. Enriquecido por diversas perspectivas, presenta una visión mexicana de la importancia del Instituto y su papel potencial en un México en proceso de apertura política y económica. El tema se exploró siguiendo un esquema uniforme. Los encuestados primero dieron sus puntos de vista sobre el entorno actual de formulación de políticas de México para proporcionar un contexto para evaluar la actividad del IICA. A continuación, describieron sus percepciones sobre la imagen y los atributos clave del Instituto. Finalmente abordaron el tema de las expectativas, incluyendo una visión del papel potencial del IICA en la próxima década. El informe se estructura en tres secciones, cada una de las cuales repite los temas con mayor profundidad. Por tanto, el Resumen Ejecutivo es una descripción general de las conclusiones e implicaciones; Research Highlights presenta los puntos destacados que respaldan las conclusiones; Los hallazgos detallados presentan extensos textos textuales que realzan la opinión colectiva con la textura auténtica del comentario individual. |
