| Summary, etc | Se estudió la evolución de la estabilidad estructural relacionada con el contenido de gomas microbianas en el doble cultivo trigo-soja, bajo dos sistemas de labranza: convencional y reducida. Ambos sistemas produjeron efectos similares; no se encontraron diferencias en el contenido de gomas microbianas ni en la estabilidad estructural. Se determinaron fluctuaciones estructurales asociadas a las variaciones en el contenido de gomas microbianas, atribuidas a la remoción del suelo y a los aportes de los restos de cosecha, que ocurren durante las labranzas. La alta correlación entre ambos parámetros y la caída en la estabilidad estructural después de la destrucción de los polisacáridos microbianos, por oxidación con periodato, evidencian la importancia de dichas sustancias en la agregación de estos suelos agrícolas. |

| Summary, etc | Soil aggregate stability and microbial gums content were studied in a wheat-soyabean rotation under conventional and reduced tillage. No significant differences were found between tillage systems for the variables studied. Fluctuations in aggregation were associated with microbial gums content resulting from the incorporation of plant residues by tillage operations. The high correlation between the two variables as well the decrease in aggregation after destruction of the microbial polysaccharides by periodate treatment show the importance of microbial gums on soil aggregation. |
