Summary, etc El objetivo de la investigación fue estimar la biomasa aérea total y el contenido de carbono en la vegetación, hojarasca y suelo de las unidades de manejo "Río Chanchich" y "Uaxactún". Además evaluar la capacidad de recuperación del carbono en claros y caminos. La unidad de manejo "Río Chanchich" ha recuperado en mejor forma los contenidos de carbono en la vegetación de clases diamétricas inferiores, hojarasca y suelo en áreas impactadas de claros de tumba y vías de arrastre. Sin embargo, se requiere incluir la variable tiempo para concluir en forma más precisa.

Summary, etc This research main objective was to estimate the total aboveground biomass and carbon contents in the vegetation, fallen leaves, and soil of the management units Río Chanchich and Uaxactún. In addition, carbon recuperation capacity in glade areas and rows were estimated. Río Chanchich reports a better recuperation of the carbon contents found in the vegetation of inferior diametric classes, fallen leaves, and soil in glade areas and dragging rows. However, more information is required to conclude in a more accurate form.
