El presente estudio se realizó en Las Mesas de Moropotente, Estelí, Nicaragua, con el objetivo de contribuir al desarrollo de alternativas de producción agroforestal sostenible para Las Mesas de Moropotente. El trabajo constó de dos fases. 1) Caracterización socioeconómica y financiera, conocimiento local, usos y valorización financiera y comercial de los principales productos, extraídos del carbón en la Reserva Natural Miraflor-Moropotente, 2) Evaluación del potencial productivo de los árboles de carbón en Las Mesas de Miraflor-Moropotente. Para la fase uno se utilizaron dos instrumentos, un Muestreo Aleatorio Simple, con intensidad del 10por ciento, con una encuesta a 81 familias de la reserva y una entrevista dirigida a 11 conocedores en administración y comercialización de principales productos extraídos del carbón. La fase dos consta de 2 componentes, el primero un inventario del carbón en Las Mesas, con un Muestreo Aleatorio Simple sobre las 6200 ha que es el área de Las Mesas, con una intensidad del 0,70por ciento, es decir 175 parcelas de 50x50 m, para un total muestreado de 43.75 ha. El segundo componente biofísico, fue un estudio sobre la acumulación de biomasa fraccionada del carbón en Las Mesas. Para esta parte del estudio se seleccionaron 40 árboles, uno por cada clase diamétrica con intervalo de 2cm (entre las clases de 2 y 40cm). |

The present study was carried out in Las Mesas de Moropotente, Estelí, Nicaragua, with the objective of contributing to the development of alternative of production sustainable agroforestal for Las Mesas de Moropotente. The studied it consisted of two phases. 1) socioeconomic and financial characterization, local knowledge, uses and financial appraisement of the main products, extracted of the carbón in the Natural Reservation Miraflor-Moropotente, 2) biophysical characterization of the present carbón in Las Mesas de Moropotente. For the phase one, two instruments were used, a Simple Aleatory Sampling, with intensity of 10percent, with a survey to 87 families of the reservation and interview directed to 11 experts in administration and commercialization of main extracted products of the carbón. The phase two consists of 2 components, the first one inventory of the carbón in Las Mesas, with a Simple Aleatory Sampling on 6200 ha, that it is the area of Las Mesas, with intensity of 0,70percent, that is to say 175 parcels of 50x50 m, for a total sampling of 43.75 ha. The second biophysical component, was a study about the accumulation of fractional biomass of the carbón in Las Mesas. This part of the study 40 trees were selected, one for each diamterical class with interval of 2cm (among the classes of 2 and 40cm). |
