La certificación del manejo de los bosques naturales se ha convertido en años recientes en un tema de especial interés para los sectores público y privado forestal. El creciente interés se deriva de la importancia que se le atribuye en el logro de un manejo sostenible de los bosques tropicales del planeta. El trabajo aquí presentado es un aporte importante al conocimiento del tema y a las implicaciones que la aplicación de la certificación podría tener en las acciones de los principales actores del sector forestal. El trabajo recoge y analiza los niveles de conocimiento, aceptación y las predicciones que cada grupo de actores sociales, tiene y plantea con respecto a la aplicación de la certificación del manejo forestal de los bosque en Honduras, país centroamericano donde tradicionalmente la industria forestal ha sido de extrema importancia económica y social. <br/> |
