This national baseline outlines the institutional framework for addressing climate change in St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ agriculture sector. After a brief description of the agriculture sector and potential climate change impacts, this inventory summarizes the main public policy instruments existing
at the national level that are relevant for addressing climate change in SVG’s agricultural sector.
In addition, it includes an inventory of the programmes or projects currently or recently executed by institutions and coordination mechanisms through which the agriculture-focused organizations interact with other sectors and stakeholders to promote a low carbon, climate resilient agriculture.
Lessons learned and opportunities to develop climate smart agricultural interventions aligned with the country´s identified priorities and targets are found at the end.
