El programa identifica la dimensión del problema, oportunidades y unió y esfuerzos para la planificación y ejecución, asimismo toma en cuenta los criterios centrales, su cobertura geopolítica, ecológica y acciones, principales subprogramas, participantes del programa, estructura organizativa, duración y costos estimados. Todo esto con la finalidad de promover y contribuir al desarrollo agropecuario sostenido de las regiones del Trópico Húmedo Suramericano, los Llanos y Cerrados y el Pié de Monte; mediante el uso racional de los recursos naturales renovables y ofreciendo, una alternativa real de reactivación económica y productiva futura del ambiente bio-físico. This document contains information on the Cooperative Research and Technology Transfer Program for the South American Tropics (PROCITROPICOS), with its new stage of activity and reformulated context to reinforce and maintain the cooperation ties established with the Amazon cooperation deal. The program identifies the dimension of the problem, opportunities and efforts for planning and execution, it also takes into account the central criteria, its geopolitical and ecological coverage and actions, main subprograms, program participants, organizational structure, duration and estimated costs. All this in order to promote and contribute to the sustained agricultural development of the regions of the South American Humid Tropics, the Llanos and Cerrados and the Pié de Monte; through the rational use of renewable natural resources and offering a real alternative for the future economic and productive reactivation of the bio-physical environment.
