Se identifican brevemente las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en Ecuador durante el 2022, con respecto a las necesidades e interés del país; implementación de escuelas de campo para la producción sostenible y libre de deforestación de café y cacao amazónico ecuatoriano; uso de las técnicas de edición genética de cultivos; implementación de alianzas colaborativas; desarrollo del protocolo para otorgar el sello de Agricultura Familiar Campesina Asociativa; iniciación del proceso de actualización de la política pública agropecuaria 2020-2030; fortalecimiento de capacidades en buenas prácticas agrícolas (BPA) con el manejo de control biológico y cambio de copa con variedades de cacao promisorias; apoyo a amprendimientos; y proyectos enfocados a la resilencia de los sistemas agroalimentarios en cadenas priorizadas. The activities carried out by the Delegation during 2022 are briefly identified, focus to needs and interest of the country; implementation of field schools to the sustainable and deforestation-free production of coffee and cocoa from the Ecuadorian Amazon; use of crop gene editing techniques; implementation of collaborative alliances; development of the protocol for grant the seal of Associative Peasant Family Agriculture; initiation to the process of updating the public policy agriculture 2020-2030; capacity building to good agricultural practices with the management of biological control and crown change with promising cocoa varieties; support for ventures; and projects focused on the resilience of agrifood systems in prioritized chains.
