Se pretende mejorar la gestión, la conservación y el aprovechamiento del recurso hídrico en la microcuenca de Santa Isabel, Honduras; mediante el fomento de actividades para conservar los recursos naturales en las comunidades aledañas, tales como transferencia de prácticas y conocimientos, promoción de oraganización comunitaria en juntas administrativas y el apoyo del Fondo Verde para servicios ambientales, prestamos de operación y mantenimiento de los sistemas de agua potable y así garantizar su disponibilidad y la satisfacción de la demanda actual y futura. Se expone brevemente la dirección del proyecto en sus fases de organización con la comunidad y la situación del recurso hídrico con los logros del proyecto y los factores pendientes por resolver. It is intended to improve the management, conservation and use of water resources in the Santa Isabel micro-basin, Honduras; by promoting activities to conserve natural resources in the surrounding communities, such as transfer of practices and knowledge, promotion of community organization in administrative boards and the support of the Green Fund for environmental services, operation and maintenance loans for water systems drinkable and thus guarantee its availability and the satisfaction of current and future demand. The direction of the project is briefly exposed in its phases of organization with the community and the situation of the water resource with the achievements of the project and the pending factors to be resolved.
