The objetive of the present document is to present a brief description of the initiatives implemented in 1997 and the importance of the continuation of this partnership approach beyond 1998. IICA-Canada concentrated its efforts on the following target areas where the complementarity between Cadadian interests and IICA strengths werw the highest: -Netwoeks and strategic alliances, -agricultural trade and agri-business, -agricultural health, -science and technology development El objetivo del presente documento es presentar una breve descripción de las iniciativas implementadas en 1997 y la importancia de la continuación de este enfoque de asociación más allá de 1998. IICA-Canadá concentró sus esfuerzos en las siguientes áreas objetivo donde la complementariedad entre los intereses de Cadad y el IICA Las fortalezas fueron las más altas: -Red y alianzas estratégicas, -Comercio agrícola y agroindustria, -Salud agrícola, -Desarrollo científico y tecnológico
