La próxima Conferencia de Ministros de Agricultura de las Américas, por realizarse del 29 al 31 de octubre de 2019 en la Sede Central del Instituto Interamericano de Cooperación para la Agricultura (IICA), en San José, Costa Rica, reunirá a ministros y secretarios encargados del sector agropecuario de 34 países de las Américas.
Antes del inicio de la reunión bianual de la Junta Interamericana de Agricultura (JIA), máximo órgano de gobierno del IICA, la Conferencia de Ministros ofrecerá un marco para el debate técnico especializado sobre los asuntos más relevantes y cruciales del sector agropecuario, en el que confluirán temas relacionados con productividad, sostenibilidad, recursos naturales y medioambiente, incorporación de nuevas tecnologías e inocuidad y sanidad como factores claves del comercio internacional. The next Conference of Ministers of Agriculture of the Americas, due to take place 29-31 October 2019 at the Headquarters of the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), in San Jose, Costa Rica, will bring together the ministers and secretaries of agriculture of 34 countries in the Americas.
Before the biennial meeting of the Inter-American Board of Agriculture (IABA), IICA’s highest governing body, the Conference of Ministers will be holding a specialized technical discussion on the most important, crucial issues facing the agriculture sector, including matters related to productivity, sustainability, natural resources and environment, the incorporation of new technologies, and safety and health as key factors in international trade.
