Este documento tiene como propósito facilitar la preparación de diagnósticos y perfiles sectoriales por parte de las Oficinas del IICA en los países. Estos diagnósticos y perfiles sectoriales serán un importante instrumento de apoyo a los países en las negociaciones con los organismos financieros internacionales, a su vez servirán como antecedente fundamental en la elaboración de la estrategia de acción del IICA a nivel de país y de subregión. La guía se divide en tres secciones: una introductoria que considera las definiciones y características de los Diagnósticos, Perfiles y Programas Sectoriales, una segunda sección que expone la metodología para la elaboración de diagnósticos sectoriales y, una tercera que detalla los procedimientos operativos para la elaboración de diagnósticos y perfiles sectoriales. The purpose of this document is to facilitate the preparation of sector diagnoses and profiles by the IICA Offices in the countries. These diagnoses and sector profiles will be an important instrument to support the countries in negotiations with international financial organizations, and will in turn serve as a fundamental precedent in the preparation of IICA's action strategy at the country and subregional levels. The guide is divided into three sections: an introductory one that considers the definitions and characteristics of Sectorial Diagnoses, Profiles and Programs, a second section that exposes the methodology for the elaboration of sectorial diagnoses and, a third that details the operational procedures for the elaboration of diagnoses and sector profiles.
